Mr. Sandoval brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. He has ample experience in financing transactions in the private and public markets.
Before joining A&M, he served as Managing Director of Nacional Monte de Piedad’s Venture Capital fund. The fund’s purpose was to develop and invest in companies with projects that have social impact and the possibility to be scalable, profitable and sustainable and in early or growing stages. It was at the time, the largest impact social fund in Mexico.
Prior to that, he founded Alza Capital, a boutique investment bank focused on middle market companies.
Mr. Sandoval served as Director of Corporate and Investment Bank at Banamex – Citi, where he worked with chemical, financial, retail, entertainment, wholesale and bottling companies.
He has experience in M&A, venture capital, corporate finance, derivatives and cash management. He participated in financing transactions for over US $10 billion (loans, mezzanine, syndicated loans, private placements, public issuances in local and international markets).
Mr. Sandoval earned an MBA from Duke University, a master’s degree in economics and a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, both from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
