With more than 30 years of financial services and investment banking experience, Mr. O’Donnell has a proven track record in strategic advisory across a variety of industries working and partnering with management teams, businesses facing activist situations and hedge funds. He has extensive experience leading companies through enterprise wide transformation using detailed business analyses and predictive modeling to optimize performance and shed non-core assets.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. O’Donnell was a leader at Involved Consulting, a boutique advisory firm, where he spent three years in the Activist Defense practice. He supported clients with operational and financial due diligence whether they were facing a proxy battle or engaging in M&A.
Previously, Mr. O’Donnell spent nine years as Chief Investment Officer at Forward Management where he worked to grow assets under management from $1.5 billion to $7 billion. He created value via tuck-in acquisitions and innovative product development leading a team of 35+ professionals. Throughout his career he has also worked as an institutional trader and portfolio manager.
Mr. O’Donnell earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of San Diego. He is a also a Charter Financial Analyst.
