Jim Davies is a Senior Director with the Alvarez & Marsal Valuation Services practice in London.

He has 15 years of experience in professional advisory services, with over 10 years specifically in company and asset valuation.

In his career to date, Mr. Davies has provided valuation and wider corporate finance and advisory services on over 200 engagements in the context of expert determination, litigation, financial reporting, portfolio valuations, tax structuring, intellectual property (IP) transfers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, insolvencies, fund raising, employee share schemes, decision support and audit.

His experience covers a range of industries including consumer and industrial products, retail, media, infrastructure, utilities, mining, chemicals, sport and entertainment, telecommunications and technology, packaging, professional and financial services and life sciences.

He has broad international valuation experience having served clients and valued companies across Europe, in numerous African and Asian countries as well as the U.S., Middle East and South America.

Mr. Davies’ has valued numerous IP assets including brands and tradenames, patents and technology, software, contracts, content libraries and databases.

Additionally, Mr. Davies provides expert valuation services in the context of litigation, shareholder and matrimonial disputes and cases of expert determination.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Davies was an Associate Director in the Valuation and Business Modelling team at EY and he began his career with Deutsche Bank, where he spent three years as a management accountant.

He earned a degree in economics from the University of York and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
