Jenny Poulos is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Canada ULC in Toronto. She brings over 25 years of experience in corporate restructurings and insolvency mandates in the public and private sectors, a number of which have involved cross-border and international complexities.

Ms. Poulos has worked with clients across a range of industries including insurance, hedge funds, financial services, retail, agriculture, infrastructure, real estate and construction, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and automotive.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Poulos was with a Big Four firm where her notable engagements included acting as financial advisor to The Canadian Wheat Board and as a monitor in proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act of Interwind Corp., a renewable energy developer with several large solar and wind projects. She also served as bankruptcy trustee of MF Global Canada Co., a leading Canadian futures broker with assets of over $400 million, and court-appointed receiver of Portus Alternative Asset Management Inc., a registered portfolio manager and limited market dealer, involving over 26,000 investors and multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, Ms. Poulos acted as court-appointed administrator of Riviera on Queens Quay, a twin-tower, waterfront, residential condominium development with over 500 units in Toronto, and as interim receiver and bankruptcy trustee of TCT Logistics Inc., a publicly-owned corporation, and its subsidiaries in the supply chain management business with over 31 million cubic feet of warehousing capacity and one of the largest transportation fleets in Canada. She also served as liquidator of Confederation Life Insurance Company, one of the largest life insurance companies in Canada with over one million policyholders.

Ms. Poulos earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (honours) from Queen’s University. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and a Canadian Trustee in Bankruptcy. Ms. Poulos is also a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals and has served as the Vice-Chair of the Association’s Corporate Practice Committee. She is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. Ms. Poulos also serves as a mentor in the Queen’s University Women in Leadership Mentorship program.
