Mr. Felsen specializes in transactional and portfolio work for private equity as well as corporate investors. His primary areas of concentration are commercial due diligence, strategy reviews and performance improvement.
With more than 14 years of professional consulting experience, Mr. Felsen has successfully completed hundreds of projects, including commercial due diligence projects, further transaction-related assignments (e.g., enterprise valuation, target screening, M&A process and carve-out/exit due diligence), comprehensive strategy reviews and performance improvement projects.
As a functional specialist, he has worked across most industries, but with a certain focus on consumer goods and industrial products. In addition to a series of larger (V)CDD projects, major assignments included a corporate strategy review for a global manufacturer of food and pharma packaging, a distribution strategy alignment for a leading European producer of packaged bakery, a post-buyout Asian joint venture strategy for a European truck and bus manufacturer and exit due diligences for a global automotive OEM following a demerger.
Much of his work has been international in nature, including a biannual secondment to the U.S. (Los Angeles), regular project transfers to foreign countries (in particular France, the U.K., Scandinavia and some Asian countries) and constant collaboration with international teams inhouse and on the client-side.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Felsen spent more than seven years with Roland Berger’s Restructuring & Corporate Performance Competence Center, where he served as a Principal. Prior to that, he served as Manager at L.E.K. Consulting for seven years.
Mr. Felsen earned a dual master’s degrees in industrial engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Grenoble Institute of Technology.
