Mr. Pietroforte specializes in restructuring, strategic planning and transactional execution. He has served as a principal or advisor on real estate equity and debt matters in excess of $100 billion. During his career, he has evaluated and / or structured purchases and sales of real estate assets on behalf of many clients. In addition, he has set up and managed mortgage banking conduits, which have specialized in the origination and servicing of multi-family and commercial mortgage loans for sale to the Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and private institutional investors.
Some of Mr. Pietroforte's past notable real estate advisory clients include: Anglo Irish Bank, Bank of America, Bank of Montreal, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, The Blackstone Group, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Deutsche Bank, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), General Electric Capital Corporation, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Simon Property Group and West LB. He has provided financial advisory services for multiple restructuring, acquisition and securitization transactions in excess of $1 billion.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Pietroforte was an equity partner with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, where he served as National Co-leader of real estate financial advisory services and as a member of the Deloitte Foundation Board of Directors. During his career, he has also served as a Director of the Institutional Property Group at Cantor Fitzgerald, LP; Vice President and Manager of Mortgage / Contract Finance at Credit Suisse First Boston; and Real Estate Associate at Thacher, Proffitt & Wood.
Mr. Pietroforte earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Binghamton University and a J.D. degree from American University School of Law. He is a licensed New York State Real Estate Broker and a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Zell / Lurie Real Estate Center at Wharton.
