With more than 30 years of employee benefits consulting experience, Mr. O'Donnell has been intimately involved in funding executive benefit programs, establishing and managing captive employee benefit arrangements, redeploying excess pension assets, funding post-retirement health programs , and resolving employee benefits compliance controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. O'Donnell had spent the previous 15 years based in Aon's NYC and Somerset NJ offices , where he was a Senior Vice President in Aon Hewitt and, later, the Technical Director of Aon Global Risk Consulting. He established and led Aon's captive employee benefits consulting practice, where he successfully implemented numerous captive programs for employee group health, disability, and life insurance. Prior to his tenure at Aon, he had been with ASA, a consulting firm that implemented the vast restructuring of AT&T's employee benefit plans following the deregulation of the telecommunications marketplace.
Mr. O'Donnell holds JD and Masters in Actuarial Science degrees from the University of Michigan, and has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
