He has served as Chief Transformation Officer, Chief Financial Officer, advisor and investment professional within complex situations in Europe, USA and Asia. He specializes in structuring and delivering performance improvement programs for multinational corporations, private-equity sponsored companies and mid-sized businesses.
Notable interim roles include Chief Transformation Officer of a €0.5b revenue (2,500 employees / 8 countries) private-equity owned leading player of the entertainment industry to design and deliver a company-wide performance improvement plan with savings amounting to 1.5x EBITDA. Also, he has served as CFO of a private-equity owned player of the upscale casual clothing industry resulting from the carve-out from a global industry leader.
Notable advisory cases include the support to a private-equity fund in the preparation of a carve-out and performance improvement plan for an energy business and the support to portfolio companies in improving their cost and liquidity position.
Before A&M, Mr. Questa has served as CFO of a private-equity owned leading player of the European photovoltaic market: in this role, he has catalysed the transformation effort strengthening the finance department, regaining control of discretionary spending and rightsizing the headcount. Prior to that, Mr. Questa has served as an associate in a listed investment company with AUM of €0.5b. He completed the acquisition of a €0.5b revenue leader in specialty packaging films through a €170m debt-to-equity swap. After the acquisition, he worked as part of the finance team to support the improvement plan, refinance the existing debt, structure the reporting system and implement new SAP systems across European sites.
Mr. Questa started his professional career in investment banking both in Milan and London, where he advised clients on their capital structuring needs for an aggregate value of almost €5b.
Mr. Questa earned a bachelor's degree in law and business administration, cum Laude, from Università Luigi Bocconi (Italy), and a MBA from INSEAD (France and Singapore). An Italian national, he is fluent in Italian and English and has a basic knowledge of German.
