Mr. Hussein has 20 years of C-suite and boutique/bulge-bracket investment banking experience focused on global M&A and value creation. He has completed over $50 billion in complex public and private corporate transactions including cross-border M&A, privatizations, public offerings, restructurings, capital raises, operational improvements, and long-term strategy formulation. In addition, he has served as the Chief Financial Officer for public companies and is a Sarbanes-Oxley financial expert.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hussein was the Chief Development Officer and co-founder of Public Infrastructure Partners LLC (PIP), an independent advisor in the regulated and unregulated power markets, midstream gas, renewables, and mining sectors. Mr. Hussein provided clients, including leading corporations and private equity, infrastructure, and pension funds in North America and Europe, with hands-on strategic, financial, and corporate expertise. He was responsible for global client coverage and completed twelve transactions creating value across growth, distressed, and undercapitalized opportunities. Prior to PIP, Mr. Hussein co-founded the Los Angeles investment banking offices for RBC Capital Markets where he expanded the firm’s global footprint and completed seven deals including two multi-billion dollar cross-border M&A transactions. He started his career at Salomon Brothers in New York and advised on nine transactions while at Citigroup.
Mr. Hussein has both created and implemented comprehensive growth strategies at several of the world's largest public/private regulated electric and water utilities including the largest U.S. municipal electric and water provider, the largest electric transmission and distribution provider in Ontario, Canada, and the largest electric power supplier in Pakistan. In addition, he has advised clients in the telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), metals & mining, healthcare, real estate, and energy sectors.
Mr. Hussein earned an MBA with Stern Alumni Scholar distinction from NYU, a bachelor's degree with Dean’s List Honors and Mortar Board National Honors from Emory University, and attended The Horace Mann School.
