Elizabeth Odom is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Retail Corporate Performance Improvement in Dallas. She brings more than 35 years experience in the retail industry and consulting. Ms. Odom specializes in planning and analysis, operations and business process improvement focused on driving improved profitability and operational efficiency.

Ms. Odom leverages her broad knowledge base to help retail management understand and drive out their strategic vision, dashboards and road maps designed for successful execution and implementation. Other key areas of focus include change management, inventory and expense control, account / inventory reconciliation, distribution and logistics, organizational alignment, functional business / system specifications and design, along with training support.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Odom held a Director of Retail position with Palladium Group, Inc., a consulting organization. With Palladium, Ms. Odom worked with more than 50 global retail / wholesale multichannel organizations within a variety of business segments including specialty / luxury retailers, apparel, hardlines, softlines, consumables, health and beauty, sporting goods, department stores, grocery and quick service restaurants.

Ms. Odom has led several BPM planning engagements, including operational / store planning, financial and merchandise planning, each with improved business processes and operational efficiencies, providing improved financial visibility, margin, profitability and accountability within the organizations. She designed executive dashboards and full CPM dashboards to help corporations build toward efficient and focused / actionable analytics. Her business improvements focus on driving visibility across an organization; linking the organization's finance, operations, merchandising and logistics to create measurable system and performance improvement.

Specializing in business process improvements allowed Ms. Odom to help organizations streamline, identify process gaps, eliminate redundancies, reduce shrinkage, improve plan-o-gram execution, rationalize and design reporting to reduce month-end cycle times, while improving financial / operational visibility and drive action. Ms. Odom led multiple vendor selection processes to support a variety of system enhancement and implementation efforts with EDI, VMO, POS, special orders, and financial planning tool needs. She established governance to maintain and support the integrity of newly established processes.

Ms. Odom began her career with Zale Corporation. She held multiple positions including: both field and corporate roles - managing stores / markets; West Coast credit center accounting; managing internal audit, data audit, inventory control and training. In addition, she was a corporate Director of Planning & Analysis for Operations and Merchandising, collaborating with the CFO and six brand presidents. Ms. Odom concluded her Zale career as Director of Merchandise Planning for the Bailey, Banks and Biddle brand; leading their rebranding effort, optimizing vendor / DC return, special order and call center business processes.

Ms. Odom earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southern California.
