Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mullett was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 13 years in various leadership roles within the Corporate Finance practice. He also served as the National Leader of PwC’s Transportation practice while leading the firms Industrial Products and Automotive practices, and was a member of the global leadership team for this industry segment.
Some of his notable transactions have included the sale of Arctic Glacier Income Fund to HIG Capital; the sale of various operating divisions of Maksteel; the sale of Zalev Brothers metal recycling to Ferrous Industries; the sale of Viceroy Homes to Canada Wood Frame Solutions Ltd.; the sale of Greco Aluminum Railings Inc. to O2 Investment Partners; a significant capital raise for global plastics process technology leader Mold-Masters Group from private equity firm 3i; the sale of various operating entities of fireplace and wood stove manufacturer CFM Corporation, an Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan portfolio company; the sale of the over-the-counter business unit of contract drug manufacturer Patheon; the sale of automotive parts manufacturer Alfield Industries to Martinrea International; and the restructuring and sale of various operating divisions of Slater Steel.
Mr. Mullett acts as Strategic Financial Advisor to both National Steel Car and REKO Machine Tool on an ongoing basis, providing strategic advisory support to the boards of directors' and management of each company. He also acted as Strategic Financial Advisor to Wentworth Technologies, assisting with operational performance and financing. In connection with his mandate at National Steel Car, he recently successfully led a refinancing of its existing debt. In connection with his involvement in Reko, Mr. Mullett recently assisted with the evaluation and implementation of a transformative facility downsizing and consolidation of operations as well as the successful refinancing of the Companies debt facilities. In addition, Mr. Mullett is currently leading three significant capital raise / debt restructuring mandates.
Mr. Mullett earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Toronto. He is a Chartered Accountant (including a corporate finance specialization qualification). Mr. Mullett is a licensed FINRA general securities registered representative (Series 7 and 63).
