Prior to this role, he led numerous debtor, creditor and bondholder restructuring engagements across a variety of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, food service, manufacturing, healthcare, retailing, distribution, media and entertainment, technology, industrials, consumer products and education.
At A&M, Mr. Walsh's most recent engagement was with Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for the Loan Book, Open Trades, CLOs and SPVs. He also has served as President and CEO of Advance Watch Company, Data Transmission Network, Telegroup, Dakotah Direct, Long Manufacturing N.C. and RB Furniture.
Additional roles have included serving as CRO of E. Spire Communications, VarTec Telecom and Heartland Steel, Consummation Agent of Keating Industries and as financial adviser to Western Union, Core-Mark Industries, Phillips Colleges, Ames Department Stores and Regina Corp. He was also part of a team managing Iridium and MobileMedia.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Walsh spent 13 years with the Bank of New England, managing all aspects of the creditor process in the problem loan division, including the orderly liquidation and sale of companies.
Previously, he was the officer in charge of systems audits, designing and implementing a program to review operating systems for both cost reductions and overall efficiency improvements.
Mr. Walsh earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College and a master's degree in business administration from Babson College.
