Christopher Bryan has spent much of his career working with companies (including several private equity owned portfolio companies) during complex transactions, Chapter 11 restructurings, corporate carve outs, merger integrations, turnarounds, 363 sales and growth implementation strategies.

Mr. Bryan has served in numerous interim management and operational improvement roles including:  

Acting CFO of the second largest international provider of asset-light  premium air cargo ground transportation, expediting delivery and logistics management services. A&M was hired by a private equity sponsor to assist with developing and implementing a performance improvement plan in the company’s line haul network and terminal profitability. A&M was  also responsible for negotiating a financial restructuring amongst the company’s constituents.

Serving as interim CFO/COO of four security label & credit card  manufacturing businesses in Canada, U.S. and Australia. Mr. Bryan led all aspects of combining the four businesses including the integration efforts for the businesses. In addition to leading the finance function, Mr. Bryan also oversaw all manufacturing and sourcing operations and supported the business through a sales process.

Worked for a private equity sponsor on the carve out of TruGreen LandCare from Service Master Inc. Mr. Bryan lead the efforts around the set up of the treasury and finance function including all manner of reporting and infrastructure around bank accounts, accounting structure, and IT. Mr. Bryan was appointed interim general manager of the company’s nursery business which included cost cutting, inventory control, production planning and the wind down and divestiture of non-core operations.

Working for a private equity sponsor on the acquisition of an Extended Warranty Administrator and service provider through an Article 9 UCC foreclosure process. He served as interim CFO & COO post acquisition and implemented several operational improvement opportunities in the company’s call center and ultimately got the company ready for a sales process.

Serving as interim COO & CFO for a children’s apparel manufacture where he worked closely with the Board to restructure the company’s business model from a domestic manufacturer to an Asian outsourcer, which included setting up new sourcing relationships as well as developing a joint venture relationship with large online retailers. He was also responsible for identifying add-on acquisitions and successfully added two new brands through acquisition.  He also supported the business through a sales process to a large competitor. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bryan worked for a Chicago based private equity firm ($1.3B AUM) where he served as a member of  portfolio company management teams in a CFO and COO capacity in several instances. Mr. Bryan started his career in Arthur Andersen’s Corporate Restructuring & Finance practice in Chicago. Mr. Bryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Supply Chain Management and Economics from Michigan State University.  Mr. Bryan is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). Mr. Bryan is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA).
