Mr. Miguel is active in sectors including logistics and infrastructure, airlines, information technology (IT), business process outsourcing (BPO) with a focus on call centers, professional services, agribusiness and textiles. He leads projects in performance improvement, organization, corporate and business unit strategy. Performance improvement projects include revenue enhancement; salesforce redeployment; procurement; selling, general and administrative (SG&A) cost optimization; direct workforce review; and processes review.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Miguel was a Partner at Bain & Company, a major U.S. strategy consulting firm, where he worked for 17 years. At Bain, he was a member of the Strategy and Performance Improvement practices and held a number of different internal positions.
Prior to Bain, Mr. Miguel worked for almost four years at Procter & Gamble. At P&G, he worked in raw and packaging materials planning; production planning; and control and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procurement. He was responsible for a significant reduction of raw and packaging materials and finished goods of categories under his control, while increasing customer satisfaction and order fulfillment.
Mr. Miguel also has experience with Alstom in Paris, where he was hired for a one-year term to support the implementation of new procedures in technical sales, and with Petroleo Ipiranga as an intern during his last year as an engineering student.
Mr. Miguel earned a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on materials and production processes from the University of Campinas – UNICAMP (Brazil). In addition, he earned a master’s degree in finance (lato sensu) from the University of Sao Paulo – USP (Brazil). He is fluent in Portuguese (native), English and French.
