With more than 28 years of industry experience, Mr. Leach has led both commercial and operating teams in chemical and automotive manufacturing in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Leach’s notable assignments include: development and launch of new products in Asia to enable the sale of Asia Operations of a global performance fibers (PET) company for its private equity owner; leading the operating integration of a global automotive spin out and IPO of their heavy vehicle systems division; and designing and implementing the operating strategy for private equity-backed management buyout of four Delphi plants. Most recently, Mr. Leach was responsible for design and implementation of sales and operations planning processes for a global specialty chemicals company driving a turnaround of on time in full (OTIF) performance from low 70 percent to over 90 percent. Mr. Leach has worked with clients across various industries, including chemicals, automotive, discrete and process manufacturing, global logistics and has also served in turnaround P&L Leadership and interim operating roles.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Leach spent five years with BASF Dispersions and Paper Chemicals Business Group in Charlotte, NC, where he served as Supply Chain Director. Mr. Leach led the turnaround of Monaca Plant Operations eliminating a 75-rail car backlog, and coordinated the relocation of dye and pigment dispersion plant operations from Rensellear, NY to Altamira, Mexico.
Mr. Leach also spent eleven years with Milliken & Company in Spartanburg, SC, where he served as Business Development and Global Sales and Marketing Leader for the Chemicals Division which included plastic additives, colorants and other specialty chemical products; he, led the successful turnaround of the Automotive Airbag department as P&L Leader achieving an $18 million annual EBITDA improvement.
Mr. Leach earned an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and has formerly held Board of Director positions for the ALS Association of South Carolina.
