He specializes in pre-transaction diligence and planning, and post-transaction optimization and synergy realization / performance improvement.

With more than 31 years of professional experience, Mr. Mulkey has consulted across the energy, engineering and construction, industrial services, communications, and retail sectors.

As the practice’s National Leader for Corporate M&A Services, he helps clients strengthen their merger and acquisition (M&A) competencies across the M&A lifecycle - including deal origination, screening, qualifying, conducting all forms of diligence, integration planning and execution.   

In his career, Mr. Mulkey has been involved in more than 40 engagements related to M&A transactions. He has been responsible for leading 16 major Enterprise Transformation projects for Fortune 500 companies stemming from either mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs or divestitures. These projects included providing the overall project management and change management leadership and / or the deep functional expertise required to either integrate or separate the entities involved in the various transactions. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mulkey was a Managing Director in the Energy Practice of BearingPoint, Inc. for two years. Prior to assuming his role at BearingPoint, he was the Partner responsible for creating and managing Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting practice in Central Texas for 14 years.

Mr. Mulkey earned a BBA in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Founding Committee Member of the San Antonio CFO Forum.
