Boris Weidmann is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Paris.

He brings more than 20 years’ experience in IS transformation, first as external Consultant, then as Internal Program Manager and finally as Chief Information Officer. He brings broad experience in the retail, industry and utilities sectors.

Currently, at A&M, Mr. Weidmann is the interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) of a French specialized Retailer of office supplies. He has participated in various operational due diligences (leading the IT piece) in the context of acquisitions of private equity firms.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Weidmann was the CIO of a French retailer Casino where he achieved an important reduction of the global IT TCO, in line with the global objectives of the Group who needed to drastically reduce structure costs to improve price competitiveness in France. This global piece of work took on various elements (financing, HR, internalization of competencies) and mobilized the entire IT-subsidiary.

Prior to his role as CIO of the Casino, Mr. Weidmann occupied various positions within the IT subsidiary of this company. Notably, he successfully implemented SAP on a very large scale for accounting (800 legal entities), procure-to-pay (5,000 users) and payroll (57,000 payroll slips). He also led a global piece of work for the global retail business model under SAP, intended to replace about 700 legacy applications.

Prior to this, Mr. Weidmann was Director of Corporate Applications at Altadis (Tobacco) where he was responsible for implementing a global SAP template over four countries in finance, controlling and HR. He also led the renewal of the Consolidation and Group Reporting application alongside the CFO of the Group.

Previously, Mr. Weidmann worked as a Manager for Accenture where he implemented several SAP core models for large organizations (Electrabel, Saint-Gobain, Air Liquide) and conducted various finance optimization missions such as shared services implementation or fast-close approaches. He gained a deep understanding of multiple solutions and the global SAP culture.

Mr. Weidmann first joined the consulting business at Cap Gemini, working on SAP as a Junior Consultant. He began his career as a Cost-Controller for the German subsidiary of De Dietrich (French manufacturer of boilers).

Mr. Weidmann graduated from the Ecole de Management de Strasbourg.  As a French national, he is fluent in French, English and German.
