He is an investment professional, portfolio manager and a leader in the investment management business.
A&M Investment Management actively manages Treasury and short-term assets in separately managed accounts which have 100% FDIC protection of principle and interest for corporate, institutional, endowment, non-profit, foundation and municipal and state government clients.
With more than 20 years in the Investment Management industry, Mr. Post's experience has included: Capital Research & Management/Capital Guardian; Vice Chairman of Fiduciary Trust of California; President of FT Wealth Management; and Founder, President and CIO of FT Alternative Assets (including hedge funds and private equity investing) and Stone & Youngberg, one of the largest public finance and fixed income managers in the western US.
Mr. Post currently is Chairman of the Heath Angelo Preserve Endowment, a part of the University of California Natural Reserve System.
Mr. Post has also worked with A&M’s Disputes and Investigations, serving as: an expert witness for the receiver and the Securities Exchange Commission in recovering assets related to a hedge-fund Ponzi scheme, an expert witness for investors in support of the removal of the managing member in a real estate investment, and has experience as an expert witness for a major securities firm and broker dealer relating to “Suitability Standards” of investments .
Before entering the investment business, Mr. Post was an attorney specializing in corporate, transactional and securities law. He was the founder and managing partner of the firm Pillsbury, Wilson and Post and is an inactive member of the State Bar of California and the District of Columbia.
He worked as a staff attorney for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and assisted in the passage of the Economic Recovery Act of 1983. He also served as a Supply Corps officer in the U.S. Navy holding the rank of Lieutenant.
Mr. Post earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and received his Juris Doctor from the Kendrick School of Law at the University of San Francisco. He also attended the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute and CFA Society of San Francisco and the Association for Financial Professionals.
