Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bulat worked at Bain & Company and AlixPartners focusing on consumer products and private equity. His consumer engagements included topline growth and market-entry strategy for a global snacking business, zero-based budgeting and procurement improvement for an iconic beverage franchise, and working capital optimisation for a leading nutrition company. In his PE work across a range of industries, Mr. Bulat supported major global funds throughout the entire investment cycle including fund strategy development, commercial and operational due diligences, post-deal value-enhancing strategic and operational blueprints, and post-acquisition and pre-exit performance improvement.
Prior to consulting, Mr. Bulat held global strategic and regional commercial roles at a director level with blue-chip consumer product and healthcare companies including Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson. In these leadership roles, he had full ownership of business strategy, P&L, and operating cash flow for major business units, leveraging his blue-chip FMCG skill set. These assignments included strategic innovation for a $1 billion global hygiene brand, commercial management of a $500 million portfolio of iconic European homecare brands, and multiple national product launches supported by multimedia advertising and retail campaigns.
Mr. Bulat earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. A British national, he has lived and worked in more than 10 countries across three continents. He is fluent in Russian.
