Mr. West has over 20 years of experience in business shared services, implementation and optimization, corporate turnarounds, strategic sourcing, strategic planning and strategy, costing and operationalizing in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
He is frequently engaged by private equity (PE) and corporate clients to assist with complex deals both pre- and post-close.
Mr. West has performed over 100 due diligence projects for PE Firms in their assessment of potential acquisition targets in manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, energy and financial services industries for companies with revenues ranging from $50 million to $2 billion, and led over 30 integration and separation projects of large corporations acquiring or divesting assets, including diligence, functional and organizational separation and integration strategies, development of standalone and integration cost models, and the development of TSA schedules and associated costs.
Mr. West’s professional experience includes leading IT and operations diligence for business in various sectors including PE, communications, automotive, manufacturing, chemicals and pharmaceutical supplies.
Mr. West advised a $750 million global warehouse management and logistics company where he led the diligence, operations design and integration of a competitor into the portfolio company, including data center operations and application portfolio optimization.
He also advised on the acquisition and integration of a $700 million technology call center business carved-out of a $3 billion communications and network infrastructure company by a $2 billion customer experience outsourcing and contact center technology company.
Additionally, he led the diligence and carve-out of a global Tier-1 Automotive supplier’s $1.7 billion interiors business. He also advised the company on transactions involving multiple buyers and the creation of a minority-owned joint venture, including valuation, separation strategy, transition services agreements and pricing.
Prior to Joining A&M, Mr. West was with KPMG’s Deal Advisory organization focusing on operations due diligence and integrations and separations. Prior to KPMG, he was with PwC Shared Services Advisory, and AlixPartners Turnaround and Restructuring practices.
Mr. West earned a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
