Mr. Thakur brings deep experience in strategy, transformation and performance improvement working with insurance companies of all sizes in the U.S. and Europe. He has been fortunate to have been involved in a large number of transformations involving insurance carriers for their core claims and policy operations leading to both optimized processes and better customer experiences. His expertise spans the spectrum of strategy, business case development, transformation roadmaps, cost efficiency and large program management.
In a recent engagement with a large P&C insurance carrier, Mr. Thakur led a claims transformation for the company’s home owner business (property claims). The transformation focused on process improvement on their intake (FNOL), workforce assignments, analysis of claims supply chain, leakage analysis and consolidation of four claims processing systems down to one core system. Key benefits included a faster and more user friendly intake, specialization of claims workforce and assignments and lower costs in the claims supply chain as well as technology platforms.
Mr. Thakur has led a team focused on the program management and roll-out of a large policy administration program with a top 10 P&C insurance carrier. The program involved rolling out a new policy administration platform to 49 states over an 18 month period. Some of the key responsibilities included change management, roll-out strategy and execution.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Thakur was a strategy and transformation Partner with IBM, where he focused on core insurance operations of a number of insurance carriers. Earlier in his consulting career, he was employed by Capgemini and Accenture.
Mr. Thakur earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the National Institute of Technology and a master's degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
