Antonella Puca is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Valuation Services LLC in New York. Ms. Puca specializes in the valuation of private equity and venture-backed companies for financial and tax reporting, M&A transactions, buy-sell agreements, estate planning and litigation purposes.

With more than 20 years of experience in the alternative investment industry, Ms. Puca has particular expertise in providing valuations of early stage companies at fair value to private equity funds and hedge funds, including the use of option pricing models and Monte Carlo Simulation. Ms. Puca has extensive experience in the valuation of financial instruments of privately-held companies, including term loans, convertible bonds, stock options, warrants, SAFEs, as well as common and preferred stock, and contingent consideration (earnouts and clawbacks). She has valued companies in most major industry groups including technology, healthcare, mining, manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, oil and gas, wholesale, retail and service industries.

Ms. Puca  is currently serving on the Business Valuation Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and as a consultant on the CFA exam development team. She has served as a member of AIMA’s research committee, as a director and treasurer of the Board of the CFA Society of New York and as a Director at CFA Institute in the area of GIPS, ethics and professional standards.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Puca  has been part of the Alternative Investments group at KPMG/Rothstein Kass, the global investment fund practice of EY in San Francisco and in New York, the financial services team at RSM U.S. and the valuation services team at BlueVal Group LLC in New York.

Ms. Puca earned a degree in economics, with honors, from the University Federico II of Naples, Italy and a Master in Law Studies in Taxation from NYU School of Law. She has been a research fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  Ms. Puca is the author of Early Stage Valuation (Wiley: 2020) and a frequent presenter and author on valuation and alternative investment topics. She is a member of the CFA Institute and of the AICPA. Ms. Puca holds the CFA charter and is licensed as a CPA in California and in New York. She holds the Certificate in Entity and Intangibles Valuation (CEIV) and is Accredited in Business Valuation by the AICPA.
