He brings more than 20 years of professional experience of financing and investment lending in banks. His primary areas of concentration are restructuring, refinancing debts of large companies, advising bank clients on improving the operational efficiency. Mr. Goncharenko has worked with clients across a range of industries, including oil production and refining, fertilizer manufacturing, cement industry, metals and mining, automotive industry.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Goncharenko served as Senior Managing Director, Head of Corporate lending and project finance Department in the Sberbank Group, the largest banking group in Russia and Eastern Europe, with net assets exceeding 340 billion euros, supervised the credit work of the group in subsidiaries in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus. As part of his position, Mr. Goncharenko was the head of a department with more than 100 employees, including 10 industry divisions and a department for working with subsidiaries. The volume of the loan portfolio, accompanied by Mr. Goncharenko, exceeded 85 billion euros.
Mr. Goncharenko was a member of the Board of Directors of the Mosmart group during the business reorganization and sale to a new investor, he also structured the related transaction for $ 1 billion. Among the significant projects of Mr. Goncharenko was a complicated restructuring deal and the complete withdrawal of Ukraine's sovereign debt to PJSC Sberbank of $ 500 million.
Mr. Goncharenko earned an MBA from the Higher School of Economics of the Russian Federation, a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Moscow University of Statistics and Computer Science and a Master's Degree from the Moscow Aviation Institute specializing in aircraft control systems.
