His primary areas of concentration include: financial and operational reviews, liquidity management, business and asset divestment, business plan preparation and review, recapitalization strategies and negotiation of reorganization plans.
With more than 20 years of financial and operational restructuring experience in both the U.S. and Australia, Mr. Hede has advised clients in numerous formal and out-of-court restructurings.
Mr. Hede has advised clients in the real estate, textile, telecommunications, retail, tourism, manufacturing, media, transportation and aviation industries. Notable assignments have included: Vertis Communications, Crescent Resources, TOUSA, Inc., Kimball Hill Homes, Delphi Corp., Winn-Dixie Stores, Fleming Cos., Werner Co., Dan River, Adelphia Communications, Burlington Industries, Bi-Lo / Bruno’s, Nine West and Jones New York. He is currently serving as Chief Restructuring Officer of Dex Media, one of the nation's largest providers of social, local and mobile marketing solutions to local businesses.
Before joining A&M, he spent nine years with the corporate restructuring practices of Arthur Andersen and specialist financial consulting firms in New York and Melbourne, Australia.
Mr. Hede earned a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Melbourne. He is a Chartered Accountant licensed in Australia and is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA).
He received the 2007 Kroll Zolfo Cooper / Randy Waits Award (Gold Medal) for the highest score of the Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor examinations, and in 2008 was named as one of the “People to Watch” by Turnarounds and Workouts magazine.
