At A&M, Ms. Puca focuses on regulatory and compliance functions of institutions regarding existing needs in response to non-compliance, matters requiring attention (MRAs) and consent orders from regulators, and anticipated needs in line with proposed regulation. As part of the engagement team, her focus is on understanding the current situation, performing gap analyses, building the go-forward strategy and execution, and monitoring in close coordination with management team members and expectations. She also works with institutions on anti-money laundering compliance programs, risk assessments and identifying proposed solutions for compliance in the U.S., as well as international financial institutions seeking to comply with U.S.regulations in preparation of correspondent banking relationships.
Ms. Puca has served as project manager and leader for more than 50 projects around the globe. She additionally serves in a role focused on client relationship management, ensuring appropriate alignment of client needs to firm expertise with existing and target clients. Ms. Puca has lived in New York, London, the U.K. and Munich working with A&M's international clients.
Before joining A&M, she worked in transaction services at PricewaterhouseCoopers in its McLean, VA and New York offices. She specialized in financial statement and accounting analysis and financial due diligence for buy-side, sell-side and post-transaction matters for private equity (PE) clients and strategic clients in healthcare and government contracting.
Prior to that, she worked in the Audit Advisory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C. where she focused on audits for public and private financial institutions involved in banking, sales and trading, mortgage lending, investment banking and private equity investing. She spent significant time at a large institution fined for terrorist financing on the external audit and investigation team as well as numerous Sarbanes-Oxley engagements at various institutions.
Ms. Puca earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and marketing from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. She is an associate member in the Council for Women of Boston College and serves as a mentor to undergraduate women of the university. She is actively involved with charities benefitting under privileged youth and those on the Autism spectrum. Ms. Puca is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and current with the Money Transmitter Compliance Certification (MTCC).
