Mr. Richards specializes in architecture and large systems design. His primary areas of concentration are enterprise architecture, cloud migration, as well as highly-available and scalable systems design.
With more than 25 years of Industry experience, he has a wealth of varied experience from operating system coding and performance engineering at IBM, via architecting secure Internet commerce at Schwab and ubiquitous messaging at JPMC, to executive management of new media operations at Yahoo! and InterActive Corp (IAC).
Prior to joining A&M in June 2017, Mr. Richards worked with clients in financial services, media, hardware and software. While at IBM, he was frequently called into consult with transportation, health, government and finance companies. He also spent four years with IAC’s Publishing Group in Oakland, where he most recently served as the CIO. He was responsible for turning the IT group into a global service bureau providing services to multiple internal businesses (Ask.com, Dictionary.com, About.com, Investopedia, PriceRunner and Ask.fm) first using internal resource clouds, and then migrating it all into an external cloud to increase the flexibility of the cost structure.
Mr. Richards earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering science and a master of arts degree from Oxford University.
