Chicago, IL – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announces the expansion of its Corporate Performance Improvement practice with the addition of Jason Green and Don Johnson who join as Managing Directors in Chicago.  Mr. Green has been appointed to lead the service offering.  These appointments will strengthen A&M’s capabilities to develop actionable strategies and drive profitable growth for clients across various industries and markets, globally.

“Jason and Don bring decades of experience in key areas such as consumer segmentation, brand strategy, value proposition development and pricing and digital strategies,” comments Joseph Berardino, a Managing Director who leads Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Transformation Services and the East Region Corporate Performance Improvement practice. “This expansion is reflective of our ongoing commitment to addressing the complex transformation and corporate performance challenges facing our clients.”

Mr. Green has 30 years of combined consulting and marketing experience working with mid-market and large multinationals across B2C and B2B industries operating in developed and emerging markets across North America, Europe, South America and Asia. Additionally, Mr. Green recently co-authored a book about predictive and profitable strategies to outsmart competitors, titled Optimizing Growth.  The expected release date is May 8, 2018.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Green was the Chief Executive Officer of The Cambridge Group. In this role, Mr. Green was responsible for leading the performance of the firm, including setting strategy, enhancing intellectual capital, building the consulting team and achieving objectives. Prior to The Cambridge Group, Mr. Green spent seven years at McKinsey & Company in the Consumer practice, the Operations practice and the Organizational Performance practice focused on business transformation. Mr. Green earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Yale University.

Mr. Johnson is a former Principal with The Cambridge Group. He focuses on developing demand-driven growth strategies through consumer/customer segmentation, value proposition, brand positioning development and overall strategic planning. He has extensive experience in driving profitable growth for consumer-oriented businesses in hard goods, retail, consumer packaged goods and travel.

Prior to joining The Cambridge Group, Mr. Johnson selected and oversaw direct venture investments for a private family where he advised the senior teams on strategy and played an active role in governance for select investments. He was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company where he developed differentiated corporate and brand strategies for his clients. He also served as brand manager at Procter & Gamble, managing all aspects associated with managing market leading Food and Beverage brands. Mr. Johnson earned a MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.
