NEW YORK – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced that its acclaimed Public Sector Practice has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide innovative consulting services through U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance, the leading national cooperative purchasing program. A&M was awarded the contract based on demonstrated success delivering operational solutions in government, education and not for profit organizations, as determined in a competitive solicitation and thorough evaluation conducted by Fairfax County, Va., the lead public agency.
This contract reflects U.S. Communities’ commitment to support the transformation of public agencies that must respond to delivering their missions in the face of constrained resources. U.S. Communities has formed partnerships with Harvard Ash Center/Innovation in American Government, Code for America and The Alliance for Innovation to assist with providing resources and the national use of innovative solutions and applications, such as the award to A&M.
The exclusive contract gives more than 90,000 public sector entities, such as state agencies, local governments, special districts, school districts, and public and nonprofit higher education institutions, access to A&M’s deep expertise and hands-on experience with government-wide turnaround strategies, health and human services solutions, and K-12 turnaround initiatives.
