Patricia Alonso de la Fuente is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in New York. She specializes in capital markets and accounting advisory services. Her primary areas of expertise are IPOs, acquisitions and divestitures, IFRS/US GAAP conversions and complex technical accounting matters.

With more than 20 years of international transactions advisory experience, Ms. Alonso de la Fuente is a global professional with extensive experience leading complex cross-border and cross-functional projects across the U.S., LATAM and Europe. She is fluent in English and Spanish and professional fluent in Portuguese. Her core values include high-impact contributions as a finance leader of international teams on strategic, multimillion-dollar projects; analysis of complexities and identification of executable plans to resolve problems; and skilled cross-cultural and cross-functional communication to reinvigorate stalled projects and/or overcome aggressive timelines and critical issues.

Ms. Alonso de la Fuente's selected notable achievements include overcoming an aggressive six-month timeline to achieve one of the largest global carve-out and IPOs by establishing stakeholder relationships and leading a project team of 50+ people to execute strategic solutions that enabled the client to raise $5+ billion. She also led a private company’s finance transformation journey to raise $900+ million through an IPO, including the financial reporting closing process, US GAAP to IFRS conversion, change management, internal controls, ERP implementation and audit.

Additionally, Ms. Alonso de la Fuente has led a diverse cross-functional team from financial reporting, data and analytics and forensic to successfully rebuild historical operations for 9,000 customers by using data and analytics tools, which allowed the client to enhance its collections processes and controls. She has also advised companies on complex accounting and reporting issues, such as business combinations, revenue recognition, GAAP conversion and implementation of new accounting standards.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Alonso de la Fuente spent 20 years with Deal Advisory and External Audit in KPMG, where she most recently served as Partner in Deal Advisory New York, along with leading that firm’s Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services US-LATAM corridor.

Ms. Alonso de la Fuente earned a BBA from Complutense’s University in Madrid and Leeds.
