A well-designed compensation and benefits package is an important component of an executive’s financial arrangement and an organization’s business strategy. An Alvarez & Marsal Executive Benefits consultant brings experience and expertise in assisting companies in designing and managing executive compensation and benefits programs that achieve these objectives.
Our team of compensation analysts and consultants focus on investigation, designing, implementing, funding and providing administrative support to executive benefit programs. We consider the total compensation package provided to management and key employees, including:
• Cash Compensation – Base salary, annual bonuses and long-term cash incentives
• Broad-based Benefits Provided to All Employees – Qualified retirement - savings plans, and medical, life and disability insurance plans
• Supplemental Executive Benefits – Nonqualified retirement plans, voluntary deferral plans, survivor income plans, and supplemental life, disability and long-term care insurance plans
• Equity Arrangements – Stock options and grants, phantom stock, and performance shares
Our approach, which is intended to maximize the return to both company and executive, consists of three distinct phases:
