Jippii Oy
Helsinki-based Jippii Group Oy, a telecommunications provider and one of Europe's largest mobile entertainment content providers, faced declining revenue and margins, as well as an unfocused business plan and strategy. Alvarez & Marsal was engaged to serve as Strategic Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, and assisted in the development of Jippii's successful restructuring plan. A&M aided the company in building strategic alliances with other mobile entertainment providers, including expansion into new markets such as the U.S. A&M uncovered restructuring and financing alternatives that supplemented the company's prior cost cutting initiatives. As a result, Jippii's stock price rocketed from 28 cents to 1.60 Euros, and EBITDA has improved by €31 million.
