Al Lakhani is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Dispute Analysis & Forensic Services in New York. He is an information technology specialist with extensive experience in developing litigation technology solutions. He oversees the firm's Electronic Evidence and Forensic Data Mining practice from New York.

With nine years of experience in managing and leading complex litigation consulting and investigation assignments, Mr. Lakhani has deep expertise in data analytics (data mining and data warehousing), computer forensics and electronic discovery.

Most recently, Mr. Lakhani served as an officer of a bankrupt estate, acting as a technologist. He led a team of information technology professionals from A&M and the bankrupt firm. In this role, he developed an e-discovery methodology to ensure the timely production of non-privileged electronic data in response to an SEC investigation. This methodology was later used to provide electronic data to additional third parties, including other governmental agencies.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lakhani was with Ernst & Young in Dallas, where he was responsible for building the firm's national Litigation Technology Services capability.

At Ernst & Young, Mr. Lakhani co-led one of the largest litigation consulting assignments, which included a significant e-file / e-mail searching, de-duplication and hosting component, a large data warehousing and data mining component and a computer forensics angle. The e-files / e-mail, data analytics and computer forensics services were used to help the company respond to production requests in more than 400 legal actions.

Before Ernst & Young, Mr. Lakhani was with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was responsible for the development of a records management system that was used in the investigation of 27 Swiss banks. The investigation identified assets owed to the victims of Nazi persecution held at Swiss banks for safekeeping during World War II. The data gathered was then used to match against a list of six million Jewish names collected by Yad Vashem. Mr. Lakhani worked on behalf of the ICEP (Independent Committee of Eminent Persons - Volcker Committee).

Mr. Lakhani earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a focus on management information systems, from the University of Texas at Austin.
