Opportunities: Senior Director / Director
Alvarez & Marsal Canada is currently seeking a Director or Senior Director to join our team in Toronto.
Alvarez & Marsal Canada provides turnaround and restructuring services, including turnaround advisory, and interim and crisis management, to Canadian companies that are underperforming, in crisis or healthy with underperforming divisions. Working directly with management, A&M Canada helps to stabilize financial and operational performance by developing and implementing comprehensive restructuring and turnaround plans with a focus on profit improvement and the efficient use of capital. We offer a range of advisory services designed to assist stakeholders in evaluating risks and opportunities associated with distressed or underperforming business plans.
Successful candidates should be team players with a background in accounting or finance and experience in turnaround and restructuring services.
Requirements for consideration include:
- Demonstrated experience in turnaround and restructuring services;
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience;
- Excellent client management, organizational and problem solving skills;
- Ability to lead teams of A&M professionals on complex restructurings;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management;
- Team player who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment;
- Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with particular emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel;
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce or a related discipline (CA or CPA designation is a plus);
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statement presentation and finance;
- CIRP, CIRA or CTP designation a plus; and
- Flexibility for travel.
