We’re Looking for Analysts
Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Finance provides Analysts with an opportunity to significantly participate in a variety of investment banking engagements, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and private placements of debt and equity. Analysts support senior professionals engaged in investment banking assignments and new business development. Responsibilities include: preparing, analyzing and modeling financial information provided by companies; compiling research on companies and their respective industries; coordinating and performing business due diligence; preparing confidential memoranda, management presentations, marketing presentations, buyers lists and other presentations; and valuing business entities using traditional valuation methodologies.
Qualifications
Due to the high degree of independence, responsibility and client exposure afforded to Analysts, ideal candidates are motivated, creative, outgoing and possess a high aptitude for financial analysis, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. A B.A./B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business or Applied Economics, as well as course work in accounting and finance, is required.
In addition, the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- A fundamental understanding of valuation theories, methodologies and applications
- Strong financial and computer skills
- A team player attitude
- Motivation, commitment and an exceptional work ethic
