We are excited to announce the latest presentation of our webcast series,
Eye on Tax.
"Expecting a Step-Up on Your S Corporation Acquisition? Structure Carefully!" was held on September 22, 2011, and featured A&M Taxand Managing Director Lauren Byrne and Senior Director Anthony Dios. During the presentation, Lauren and Anthony focused on how to understand when a Section 338(h)(10) election is and is not available in connection with the acquisition of an S corporation, identify structuring alternatives available to achieve a step-up in tax basis of an S corporation’s assets and differentiate tax results that arise depending on the LLC structure utilized.
Once a month, A&M will more fully explore a topic of interest published in our Tax Advisor Weekly newsletter with a one-hour webcast detailing the specific issues, planning opportunities and pitfalls that you need to know in order to best understand the full implications of the subject matter.
