Eye on Tax: Don't Forget the SALT - State and Local Tax Planning Strategies Under FAS 109 and FIN 48
We are excited to announce the eighth presentation of our webcast series,
Eye on Tax.
"Don't Forget the SALT - State and Local Tax Planning Strategies Under FAS 109 and FIN 48" was held on June 23, 2011, and featured A&M Taxand Managing Director Brian Pedersen. During the presentation, Brian focused on how to identify trends in state and local tax changes and how they may affect taxpayers; how to understand the requirements imposed under FAS 109 and FIN 48 with respect to state and local tax positions; and how to analyze the tax effects of recent state law changes for FIN 48 and FAS 109 purposes, specifcally, with respect to the recognition and measurement requirements of FIN 48.
Once a month, A&M will more fully explore a topic of interest published in our Tax Advisor Weekly newsletter with a one-hour webcast detailing the specific issues, planning opportunities and pitfalls that you need to know in order to best understand the full implications of the subject matter.
Those who register and attend the webcast will be awarded one hour of CPE credit as authorized by NASBA. And, like the newsletter, there is no charge for these valuable insights and continuing education credits.
